Kerry Harker-Roth - viola
 

Kerry Harker-Roth teaches viola, string methods and pedagogy (undergraduate and graduate) at Messiah University in Mechanicsburg, PA. She also serves as director of the Messiah University Summer Orchestra Camp and the York Symphony Summer Academy.
 

Kerry is a violist with the York Symphony Orchestra in York, PA and also performs frequently in the Harrisburg/York PA area. She currently maintains a large private studio of viola and violin students, both Suzuki and traditional of all ages. 
 

Kerry holds degrees from Houghton College and the Eastman School of Music in pedagogy, viola and music education.
 

Kerry lives in Grantham, PA with her husband. She and Matthew have two children, both in college.  Ella is studying string music education and Silas is studying Anthropology. Kerry also has several hens, one shorthair cat, two Maine Coon cats and a beta fish.  In her spare time she maintains a large garden, enjoys knitting, and weaving on her loom.  Kerry and Matt are avid hikers, having completed the West Highland Way in Scotland this past summer.

     • Matthew Roth - poet

Matthew Roth is the author of two volumes of poetry, Rains Rain (FutureCycle Press, 2023) and Bird Silence (Woodley Press, 2009). His poems have appeared widely in literary journals, including 32 Poems, Bennington Review, American Literary Review and many others.

​

Matthew holds degrees from Houghton College, Wichita State University, and the University of North Texas. He is a Professor of English and Creative Writing at Messiah University, in Mechanicsburg, PA. 

 

In addition to his poetic work, Matthew publishes widely on the work of Vladimir Nabokov. He is on the editorial board of the Nabokov Online Journal and he coordinates the Nabokov Online Sessions of the International Vladimir Nabokov Society.
